Simon Apologized ! The Toughest Judge Ripped Her Performance, Then Immediately Apologized After Her Second Song!

Yoli Mayor, a 21-year-old singer, opened her America’s Got Talent (AGT) audition with a moving performance of “I Put a Spell on You.” Simon Cowell, however, quickly cut off the music during her performance. Simon told Yoli that her performance felt “very old-fashioned,” particularly with the cocktail attire, and advised the young artist to “keep it young.” Simon put a lot of pressure on her to perform a second song in an attempt to convince her that she could become a “great recording artist.”

In the face of extreme pressure and elimination, Yoli showed incredible fortitude by consenting to perform her second original song, “November.” Her two tries were strikingly different from one another. Her voice was raw and intensely emotional this time, letting her unique, natural tone come through. She was able to control her anxiousness during her performance, and her moving song persuaded the judges that she was the genuine human being she claimed to be. Her lyrics, which talked about being vulnerable and feeling “real,” struck a strong chord with the panel and the crowd right away.

The tremendous turnaround left the judges utterly delighted. The first to speak was Simon Cowell, the guy who started the tension. He gave a rare apology for the trying time but acknowledged that he was “glad we did it” because he had discovered what felt like a “solid gold star.” The other judges swiftly concurred, complimenting her voice as well as her unique personality and remarkable ability to manage the unforeseen pressure. With four ecstatic “yeses,” they reassured her that this was her moment, and Yoli Mayor’s surprising return guaranteed her place in the competition’s next round.
