Shaq’s generosity has been the subject of numerous stories that have surfaced throughout the years. He frequently pays other people’s restaurant bills and gives extremely large gratuities to waitstaff.
A family with nine siblings has a well-known Instagram account called The Collins Kids. It’s no secret that Shaq frequents the family to spend time with them and is friends with them.
With almost 350k followers, the Instagram account is managed by Karissa, a young mother of nine children. Shaq had been using the Instagram account to communicate with the family. He even visited the young family at the start of this year.4
He showered the kids with affection and spent time with them during his first visit. “He came in and played ‘Watch ya mouth’ with the kids, loved on them, encouraged them, entertained them, took pictures with them, gave them gifts, encouraged us as parents, and just showed us so much love,” Karissa wrote in a post she published later about the visit.
Even though the family found this charming exchange to be sufficient, the renowned athlete had other plans. He contacted the family once more a few months after their first encounter and treated them to dinner as a surprise. “Shaq paid us an unexpected visit last night. He took the whole family to Babe’s Chicken for dinner. Simply hanging out and having dinner with him was a ton of fun.
The NBA player had other plans, even though this again appeared to make the family very pleased. He took the family to the Mercedes dealership the following day, where he placed an order for a customized 15-passenger van that would be delivered to them in the middle of July.
The children were ecstatic and couldn’t stop embracing their hero, while the family was astounded by his kindness.
And Shaq did more than that! The NBA icon joined the family for dinner once more. They claimed that he made everyone happy during the supper.
He then brought us to a restaurant called Rainforest Café, where he paid for the full meal of another table without realizing they were from out of state and on missions. After our waitress’s car broke down today, he gave her a $1,000 tip,” Karissa remarked.
Shaq discovered that the father of nine was experiencing problems with his truck during their second dinner together. The heating and cooling systems had been malfunctioning for some time.
Shaq knew what he wanted to accomplish right away. He bought the dad a new truck at the Ford dealership after taking the family there!
The family is really grateful! They were really appreciative of Shaquille O’Neal’s time spent with them in addition to his thoughtful presents.
