Many of us watched the television program Bewitched as children. If we had been old enough, we would have seen it when it first came out, but even now, years later, we would still like it.
This well-known 1960s sitcom followed the lives of a married couple, a witch, and a mortal. It was also entertaining to see the small kid star, Tabitha Stevens, in the ensemble.
When Tabitha returned to the scene at the age of sixty, not many people were curious about her post-show life. She is a celebrity because of her current situation and experiences, regardless of whether she is seen on television. Television introduced us to a wide range of characters throughout the 1960s. These programs, like Bewitched, had amazing special effects and comedy that was relevant to the era.
Tabitha Stevens, who was three years old at the time, portrayed the daughter of Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes Morehead.
Like many child stars, she had a twin sister, and the two initially played the same role. But just one woman was able to carry out the part.
She would go on to star in over 100 episodes of the show until its conclusion in 1972. She asserted that at the time, she was among the most well-known child actors in Hollywood.
She starred in a detergent commercial with Ronald Reagan and worked on the show. Helen Hunt and Jodie Foster were both up-and-coming celebrities at the time. After eight years in Hollywood, she went back to her regular life. She was going to go to Girl Scout camp, be a cheerleader, and only go to Los Angeles if she was guaranteed a job.
“For me, it wasn’t challenging,” she clarified. I kept playing and even turned down commitments. It was not too difficult for me to move away from it. I think that leaving the firm before it fired me is largely to blame for this.
She ultimately made the decision to pursue a totally other line of work. She had one child with Terry Rogers, whom she married in 1984. After they moved to Arizona, she lived away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.
They got divorced after five years of marriage and the birth of two boys. She went back to California at that time to raise her kids.
She would later be married again, this time to Eric Eden. In 1998, she and the rock star got divorced, but they still have a child named Clark. After that, she went back to California.
Two months after they first met in 1998, she wed Darren Dunckel. She is a mother of six since they had three children together.
“It’s really enjoyable,” she said. It’s an exciting yet hectic life. People ask me all the time if I’m Mormon. Since I only had one sister and I grew up believing that “The Brady Bunch” was the greatest show, I’ve always wanted a big family. However, my family would have been perfect with a boy and a girl. If I had a female, I might have stopped at three or earlier, but I wouldn’t alter a thing.
She loves being a mother, so she has no regrets about avoiding Hollywood to raise her kids. She acknowledges that she frequently receives screenplays, but she hasn’t yet found one that she wants to spend twelve hours a day working on.
“Before Parker was born, I got in touch with autism charities, and after his diagnosis, it became my top priority,” she said. I go to board meetings and volunteer. I give speeches at various gatherings. I think it’s crucial to be accessible to other parents who may have questions.
She has always enjoyed helping and is grateful for the chance to give back.
My darling son Parker is one of the 68 youngsters who have autism. None of her kids are yet interested in becoming famous like her. We are overjoyed that she has discovered her calling, and we would be glad to have her return if she decides to perform in the future.
