To truly have an impact in your community, you don’t need to accomplish great things. Little deeds frequently make a big difference and brighten people’s days.
Chris Jackson has consistently been a positive influence at Unity Grove Elementary School as a custodian. He is trustworthy and will always be willing to help others.

However, Jackson hides his hardships and the obstacles he faces every day behind his broad smiles and upbeat demeanor. When he fell on hard times, even transportation was difficult.
He simply couldn’t afford a car, even though it would make getting to work easier.
“We had transportation in the form of buses, but I was faster than the bus. An additional hour—hour 45—would be added. And my employment was only an hour away. Therefore, I can’t be stopped,” Jackson told 11Alive.

Indeed, he continued to serve his community at Unity Grove during these difficult times.
He arrives, performs his duties effectively, and ensures that everything is in working condition. Jackson maintained his composure despite the days that were considerably more challenging.
However, I persisted. I didn’t flee. I simply remain. I swallowed my pride. He told the news site, “I just show up to work, smile, and be myself.”
Jackson’s attitude and work ethic were recognized, and the faculty and kids were grateful to have him at their school.

“He always arrives to work smiling, and that hasn’t happened once. He is loved by the children here. They adore Mr. Chris. Jackson and his work are described by Special Ed Teacher Jodi Combs to 11Alive as “and he just works so hard.”
As soon as they heard about Jackson’s difficulties, the school jumped in to offer support.
After all, without a community, what would a school be? Additionally, a community always takes care of one another.

“We came together to assist Chris with his immediate needs after learning that he had fallen on some hard times,” she continued.
They might not be able to help him with every issue, and we don’t think Jackson would let it, but they knew how to make a difference.
Jackson already had some money to buy a car, but the school decided to raise the remaining amounts as they understood it was his most pressing need.Jackson was seen following a teacher across the parking lot in a Facebook video. They informed him that she required assistance, and Jackson was prepared to assist as always. The assistance was for him only this time.

The teacher abruptly turned to Jackson and gave him keys as they arrived at a Chevrolet Impala, a model that Jackson regarded as his ideal vehicle.
Initially, Jackson was taken aback. He stood there, trying to make sense of what had happened. His teachers welcomed him to his new car, his ideal vehicle, and explained what the staff did.
“I wouldn’t be able to move if you were in my body right now!” Jackson stated in the post on Facebook. I’m stranded. I’m completely stuck.
Jackson took his time processing what had just transpired.
Finally, he had the much-needed break. All of this is a result of the community he served and the personnel, who were quick to repay him.

It proves that even if we all face our own challenges, when people work together, a lot can be accomplished.
