6 Years After Raising a Gorilla, He Reunites with His Old Friend – But His Wife Gets Too Close!

Multimillionaire and wildlife advocate Damian Aspinall never thought he would have to worry about his new wife being “stolen” from him when he introduced her to two of his old pals. These friends are gorillas, after all!

Damian had reared two gorillas, Ima and Djalta, from birth to age twelve. They were mature enough to be released into the wild at that time.

After six years, Damian made the decision to go back and see them in their native environment. He also wanted to show the two gorillas to his wife, Victoria.

Damian has worked with injured, abandoned, and orphaned gorillas for years as the head of a wildlife nonprofit. Many of these creatures have been successfully rehabilitated and released back into the wild by his team.

Damian has developed close relationships with the gorillas via his work, studying and learning from them. He was uncertain of Djalta’s and Ima’s reactions to a stranger, though, and he knew his wife had no experience with wild animals.

After traversing a river teeming with crocodiles, Damian and Victoria arrived at the gorillas’ new residence. They were aware that the gorillas might not welcome people into their domain as they got closer to them.

Damian and his spouse went up to the gorillas in spite of the cautions. After six years apart, there was a chance the gorillas wouldn’t know Damian. A cautious approach was required because of the gorillas’ strength and potential for aggression.

To everyone’s surprise, though, the amazing animals welcomed Damian back with open arms as though no time had passed.

However, what would they think of Damian’s wife?

Watch the video to see how they met for the first time. I won’t reveal too much, but I can say that nobody will ever forget this moment!

It’s safe to assume that Damian’s new wife was “approved” by Ima and Djalta, to the extent that they appeared to want to retain her for themselves!

This touching movie demonstrates that wild animals may develop just as close bonds with people who have cared for them, despite the common belief that this attachment only occurs with pets like dogs and cats.
