Andrea Bocelli & Virginia Bocelli - Ich Liebe Dich - (Full version)

Andrea Bocelli has performed on the largest stages. He has also performed duets with celebrities and members of his own family, such as his daughter. But when his daughter joined him on the piano, it was a truly memorable moment for the tenor singer.

Beethoven’s “ich liebe dich,” which translates to “Tender Love,” is performed by the father and daughter pair in this endearing video. At the start of the movie, Andrea tells how they made good use of their time at home in 2020 by practicing music together.

His daughter started to play the piano like the young expert she is as Andrea began to sing the first line of Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Herrosee’s poem.

The video debuted on Andrea Bocelli’s official YouTube page on May 3, 2020. He wrote as the video’s caption, “Little Virginia has been working hard over the past few weeks to honor her obligations.”

“We now present our first duet, a gem that was created a long time ago but is incredibly relevant today—a lie that speaks of love with an unending tenderness.”

They would perform Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah together after this video was shot, but this is the first time Andrea’s daughter has played an instrument with her father.

As Virginia pursues her music career and continues to follow in her father’s footsteps, hopefully this will be the first of many videos we see from the gifted family.
