Donny Osmond, who achieved stardom as a teenage idol in the 1970s, is just as busy now as he was fifty years ago.

The 66-year-old man returned to Harrah’s Hotel and Casino in 2019 after an 11-year Las Vegas engagement with his sister Marie. This was his first solo residency, which he will return to in the fall of 2024.

Osmond takes audiences on a “dynamic, energy-filled musical journey of his unparalleled life” on stage before departing for a brief run of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the UK.

The TV personality is playing the part of Pharaoh after thrilling live theatergoers with his portrayal of Joseph in the popular musical that lasted from 1992 to 1998.

In a statement posted on X (previously Twitter), Osmond stated, “I always knew I would return to ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.'” “I am now prepared to embrace my inner Elvis and play the part of Pharaoh in Edinburgh beginning this December [2024], after playing Joseph in more than 2,000 performances of this enchanted musical.”

Prior to all of that, though, he is spending the summer touring North America with the “Direct from Las Vegas” act.

The enormous peacock

The musician makes time for his five sons and fourteen grandchildren despite having a busy schedule that prevents him from spending time with his huge family, which he formed with wife Debra (they were married in 1978).

Osmond previously told People that his family always comes first, no matter how busy he is.

That’s what keeps my life in balance. The most essential thing is your family because, when the curtain comes down, what will you have left?

Osmond, who played a peacock in the first season of Masked Singer, posted a picture of himself in the pool with his grandchildren and a huge inflatable peacock on Instagram to give fans an idea of how he spent the days before his tour.

“Enjoying a final swim at home with my grandkids before the long US summer tour begins this Friday in Milwaukee,” he writes as the caption for the photo. By the way, I would like to thank Sue Pearson from Leeds, UK, for giving me that inflatable peacock while I was on tour there. It’s been so much pleasure for us. Speaking of enjoyment, I hope to see you all on my next summer tour in the United States.

In the comments area, Osmond’s devoted fans expressed their admiration for the family guy and their enthusiasm for his trip.

According to one internet user, “This is how you maintain your youthful appearance, Donny. Your joy and your priceless family make you smile, which is why you’re always content on stage.” Another, swooning over the children, comments: “You and your grandchildren seem so lovely in these photos. I am eager to see you in Louisville.

I’m excited for this summer’s tour. Get some rest.41 venues? Whoa! Donny What a landmark tour of the US. So thrilling! A third says, “See you in Connecticut.”

Some fans, meanwhile, focused on the peacock and made connections to his debut on Mask Singer. Admire the peacock. One writes, “You ought to have won….
