Despite his experience in the entertainment industry, Ryan Seacrest is under pressure to take Pat Sajak’s place as *Wheel of Fortune* host.
Radar Online reports that he is employing several strategies to ease his anxiety around this significant new responsibility.
After hosting the show for more than 40 years, fans are aware that Sajak, 77, is retiring. Although 49-year-old Seacrest has been chosen to replace him, assuming such a prominent position is quite difficult.
According to insiders, Seacrest still feels the pressure of expectations from this legendary role despite having a lengthy TV career.
“Ryan frequently takes on more than he can handle,” a source close to Seacrest told Radar Online.
He’s now experiencing a lot of anxiety, but he wants to be the next Dick Clark, and he’s becoming just that. However, he is only human, and it would be extremely difficult to replace Pat Sajak on *Wheel of Fortune*.
Seacrest is the best candidate for the position. He is more than qualified as the host of *American Idol*, but he is preparing himself by using a few well-known strategies.
This September, *Wheel of Fortune* will begin airing its new episodes.
Because Ryan never knows when to quit on his own, the insider continued, “He’s doing everything to handle the nerves before this hosting gig, including getting at least eight hours of sleep and listening to audio books about anxiety.”
He uses additional strategies to his advantage. When he’s stressed, he finds that just going outside for some sunshine and fresh air helps him relax.
At the studio, he will most likely have a comfortable, air-conditioned trailer where he can unwind.
Three weeks ago, Seacrest posted a heartfelt ode to Sajak, lauding the renowned host’s collaboration with 67-year-old Vanna White and stating that Sajak had “set the standard for hosts everywhere.”
Congratulations on a fantastic run with *Wheel of Fortune*, Pat!
For decades, the show has been a beloved aspect of American television thanks to your commitment, charisma, and comedy,” Seacrest wrote on Instagram.
