What other telltale signs of a narcissist include suspiciously white teeth and an abnormally high number of selfies on their phone? According to a study, you should only look at their eyebrows.
Recent research from the University of Toronto, which was published in the Journal of Personality, suggests that those with “distinctive eyebrows” are more likely to exhibit narcissistic personality traits.
The term “narcissist” has its origins in the Greek story of young Narcissus, who fell in love with his reflection in a pool of water. Generally speaking, very high self-loving scores are associated with strong narcissistic personality traits.
They usually make a good initial impression, coming across as affable and nice, yet they typically act selfishly and conceitedly, frequently exaggerating their own abilities or beauty.
For whatever reason, they also have beautiful eyebrows.
To arrive to this conclusion, the researchers photographed over forty college students wearing neutral looks.
They then had the students complete the Narcissistic Personality Inventory, a psychological test, to ascertain the extent of any narcissistic tendencies.
The researchers showed the images to the other participants, who were then asked to judge each person’s degree of narcissism solely based on appearance.
