A grandmother who is 37 years younger than her husband has made some amazing pregnancy announcements.
Cheryl McGregor is a 63-year-old grandmother of 17 and mother of seven children.
On TikTok, her age-gap relationship with Quran McCain, 26, has gone viral.
After getting back in touch in 2020, the couple—McGregor at 52 and McCain at 15—tied the married the following year.
There’s been another update after they told their supporters that they are expecting a baby.
The couple’s desire of starting a family is becoming a reality, but their relationship has not been without difficulties. Internet trolls have called their age difference “so wrong on so many levels.”
“Bro wasn’t even alive when she was in high school,” a TikTok user commented.
One more person said, “Y’all wrong for this.”
Another said, “Bro, she’s old enough to be yo momma.”
McGregor has consistently justified his relationship with the woman, stating, “He makes me happy.”
The grandmother gave this explanation in a recent interview with Kita Rose on Unmedicated & Educated: “He gives me a lot of things that nobody has ever given me, he builds me up, tells me I’m beautiful.”
Since McGregor can no longer conceive naturally, the couple has decided to use a surrogate.
They revealed in May that they were using a surrogate to have a kid, but things haven’t gone according to plan.
McCain recently shared a video in which he claimed to be going through “hell” after receiving a message from the surrogate stating that she “did not want to do this anymore.”
He said that the mother of the surrogate had become involved and thought the couple was merely having a child for “likes and views.”
“Lady, you have never taken one day out of your time to meet us, yet you trying to take something that is not yours,” McCain clapped back.
The couple was naturally upset by this, but things seem to be back on track again.
After releasing a video on July 8th, McGregor and McCain received congratulations from their followers.
“That’s so sweet, I’m so happy for you guys,” comments a fan.
“That’s so cute and you all need to stop judging people without knowing their story first,” says a second fan.
Another person writes, “King and queen, congratulations.”
McGregor can be seen wearing a pink cut that says “Mommy To Be” in the gender reveal film.
In front of their loved ones, the couple lets off a gender-revealing confetti cannon.
When it is discovered that they are expecting a girl, McGregor is ecstatic and throws her arms around her husband.
