The idea that a mailman would approach a house and be repelled or growled at by a dog was the stuff of countless cartoons and comedic routines, but in actuality, delivery personnel become friends with a great deal of the animals they come into contact with on a daily basis.
With several tales of drivers who bring these pups toys and treats in addition to packages, the UPS pups Facebook page honors these bonds.
Among these drivers Although Katie Newhouser adores every dog she sees on her daily walk, she developed a special affection for one in particular.
When this adorable dog found himself without a place to live, that unique link would come into play.
In addition to having three of her own, Katie Newhouser enjoys socializing with all the dogs that pass by her delivery route.
But she had a particular spot in her heart for one dog: a pit bull named Leo.
He would constantly begin barking as soon as I drove up to the condominium building.Every time I stopped, he would always hop into my truck, Katie posted on Facebook.
Even after Katie became acquainted with Tina, Leo’s owner, she learned that her son had discovered Leo as a puppy and that he required bottle feeding.
Katie got some heartbreaking news.
Katie told others, “They (Tina and Leo) were very very close and did everything together.” “It seems unlikely that dogs ever forget someone with whom they have had a close relationship.”
However, in July 2017, Katie learned of the tragic death of her friend Tina, who was also Leo’s mother.

She contacted Tina’s son Cannon to inquire about Leo’s whereabouts after the initial shock subsided since she was concerned about what would happen to him. According to Animal Channel, Cannon told her he couldn’t since he was an active-duty Marine.
“He and his sibling Moose are indivisible.”
Even though Katie already owned three dogs, she made the decision to adopt Leo herself.
Katie remarked, “It was probably confusing for him at first, but he has adapted well.” He is inseparable from his brother Moose. It has taken Bailey, his sister, some time to warm up, but they are now actually playing. Everything changed in the house when Leo was brought in.
On the UPS Dogs Facebook page, Katie announced the wonderful news. Her post sparked thousands of responses, all of which celebrated Leo’s new home.
Leo found a new home with someone who loves him, even though he still misses his mom Tina.
