When Rani Cucicov, Thor’s owner and servant, saw him at a cattery in the Netherlands back in 2013, she fell in love with his charms and fur.
According to Cucicov, who spoke with HuffPost, “we actually went to look at another kitten, but the breeder said she had another one that was available and then she came with Thor in her hands.”
“We fell in love with his gorgeous ‘orange-brown’ colors right away.”
Of course, Thor’s stunning fur also played a major role in his rise to internet fame. Currently, his Instagram account has 200,000 devoted followers.
Like a tiger, Thor is the dominating king in the household and expects to be treated as such.
But let’s not overlook the fact that, in Rani’s opinion, he is generally affectionate and cute.
This Bengal cat, which has spots akin to a leopard and stripes akin to a tiger, is one of the most exquisite animals I’ve seen online lately.
Though he may appear enigmatic, exotic, and untamed in pictures, Thor is also a joker.
“He enjoys chasing flies” said Rani. “We don’t need a flycatcher in the house, so that is helpful.”
Even some people doubt the authenticity of Thor’s fur. I mean, is it really possible to be this amazing? I can understand them.
“People saying that Thor wasn’t real and that we just photoshopped a cat and added a tiger’s body was the funniest thing I read,” the woman remarked. Naturally, this is untrue. Without a doubt, Thor is real and hasn’t been altered in any way. While we obviously try to make him seem his best, there are certain photos that we post on Instagram with filters applied, or where we add extra shadow or other effects because the picture is too bright or clear. However, we never alter his colors or Photoshop him to look like a tiger or anything else, according to Rani.
