During the concert, Chris Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, referred to the actor as the band’s “hero.”

Michael J. Fox brought out the rock star in him!
On Saturday, June 29, during Coldplay’s headline performance at the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom, the 63-year-old actor joined the band to play guitar.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Michael J. Fox—with his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff,” vocalist Chris Martin greeted the star with, according to Variety, allusions to his well-known Back to the Future movie.
After that, the group played “Humankind,” according to the outlet, and Fox stayed back on stage to play a guitar solo during Coldplay’s “Fix You.”
For that segment of the presentation, Fox was confined to a wheelchair. In 1991, the celebrity received a Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis.
Following the shows, 47-year-old Martin thanked Fox for being a major influence on his musical career.
According to Variety, the rock star stated, “Back to the Future is the main reason we’re in a band.” Thus, we are grateful to Michael, our hero.
In July 2016, Fox and Coldplay had a previous collaboration at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, when they sang the Chuck Berry song “Johnny B. Goode,” which was featured in the movie Back to the Future.
This weekend at the Glastonbury Festival, Coldplay created history by being the main act for the sixth time in the festival’s history.
Rapper Little Simz made an unexpected appearance earlier in the evening to premiere a brand-new single. Dakota Johnson, Martin’s fiancée, was photographed taking in the band’s performance via a live feed from the occasion.
