Bridgit Mendler holds a degree from Harvard!

Earlier this week, the Disney Channel alum received her official law degree from Harvard Law School.

In a video posted on social media, Mendler, 31, could be seen wearing her gown and cap as she crossed a stage.

According to E! News, the actress from Good Luck Charlie brought her 4-year-old kid along to the ceremony.

In the video, Mendler shook hands with two professors and got her certificate. She stopped briefly to wave to a fan before leaving the stage with her son, whom she adopted in 2022.

Mendler started attending Harvard in 2021 to pursue a Doctor of Law (J.D.), according to her LinkedIn profile. She served as the Harvard Space Law Society’s co-president at the university from 2022 to 2023.

The celebrity is presently pursuing a PhD at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she also holds a master’s degree.

Mendler discussed her academic pursuits earlier this year in a message posted on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.

The “Ready or Not” singer said, “It came to my attention that something on my LinkedIn profile is causing confusion that I want to clarify: I am 2 months away from a JD and I don’t already have a PhD.”

“I began working toward the PhD in 2020 and pursued it concurrently with my law degree, but it had to be put on hold when I moved to California last summer and decided that we would stay on the west coast for family reasons,” the woman said.

Mendler said, “I really should have updated my LinkedIn page sooner. I apologize.” I will continue to push for it, but the administration and my principle investigator will decide how to proceed based on what they deem suitable.

The actress from Lemonade Mouth is now the CEO of Northwood Space, a firm that aims to build a “data highway between earth and space.”

“To increase access to space, we are creating shared ground infrastructure from the ground up. Though there is a lot of work ahead of us, Mendler stated in her announcement that it is also the exciting part.

She is one of the company’s co-founders, and its chief technology officer is her husband, Griffin Cleverly, whom she married in October 2019.

Mendler claimed that when visiting her relatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, she came up with the company’s concept.

“We built antennae out of odd junk we could find at Home Depot, while everyone else was creating their sourdough starters. … getting information from satellites of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration,” Mendler stated to CNBC in February.
