Seemingly prepared for his final turn on Wheel of Fortune is Pat Sajak.
“This show will not die, but in most television shows by now, you would have said, ‘That’s probably enough,'” Sajak, 75, stated to Entertainment Tonight.
Wheel of Fortune was founded in 1975, and Sajak joined the team in 1981. During his forty-year stint, Sajak and 65-year-old co-host Vanna White have emerged as the series’ main characters.
The emcee stated, “It looks I may go before the show,” as he considered his next actions.

Sajak admitted that “years go by fast.” He did, however, add, “We’re almost there. It has been a very long time. We will not be doing this for the next forty years. It’s almost over.
After the third contestant wins $100,000 in the same week, Pat Sajak jokingly exits the Wheel of Fortune.
In December, Sajak honored his 40 years as a host with a performance by his daughter Maggie. She tweeted a photo of her father hosting the show along with the words, “Happy 40th Wheel-iversary to this guy!” “@patsajak hosted his first episode of @WheelofFortune on this day in 1981. The rest is history!”
White gets to host since the devoted presenter has only missed one episode of the show to have surgery for a blocked intestine.
