It’s never easy to lose a loved one. John Schneider, the actor best known for “The Dukes of Hazard,” recently sent his wife, Alicia Allain Schneider, a heartfelt farewell after she died of breast cancer. He revealed the consoling, yet painful, lie he told his wife in her last hours.

To his dying wife, John Schneider lied
As Alicia’s breast cancer struggle progressed, she spent her final days under hospice care. Recalling their last minutes together, John disclosed the concoction of falsehoods and truths he told her to make her leaving easier.
He recalled, “Of course, I told her it was OK.” “But after that, I lied by saying, ‘Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine.'” She was aware of the lie I had to tell her.
John said he thought Alicia and him would be together forever. He expressed his belief in an enduring relationship by saying, “The last thing I said to her was, ‘I love you desperately, and I’ve got multiple sets of very long-term plans for you.'”
He shared her passing on social media.
On social media, John made his wife’s passing widely known. “In her new body, beside Jesus, my lovely Smile is pain-free,” he said, asking for solitude while they grieved.
