In an attempt to discipline his 16-year-old daughter for bullying a girl who is battling cancer and removing her wig, a frustrated father shaved her head.
The parent disclosed in a since-deleted Reddit post that his daughter had run afoul of the school after making fun of a kid who had lost her hair due to cancer treatment.
In an attempt to intimidate the girl, she even took off her wig. The father reasoned that the only way to discipline his daughter was to be much more firm because she had no remorse.
1. THE GIRLS HAD HISTICLES IN THE PAST.
Having “bad blood” with someone does not, however, justify the daughter’s actions, as the father made clear.
The daughter of the other girl is reportedly seeing her ex-boyfriend, and the two have been at odds ever since, which is why they were fighting.
He commented, “Not how I’ve raised my daughter to treat people, and hearing how she acted from her deputy principle truly disgusted me.”
2. The girl didn’t seem to realize that what she had done was incorrect.
Indeed, she went so far as to say that the girl in question deserved it, doubling down on her actions. The dad had had enough by this time.
3. HIS DAUGHTER WAS GIVEN TWO CHOICES.
The dad gave the adolescent two options because he could not let this scenario go. One possibility was that she could get go of every gadget she had, including her computer and phone, and he would never buy her anything again. Secondly, she may visit a hair salon and get her whole head shaved.
Oh, and she doesn’t get a wig; instead, she wears her hair out in the open till it grows back. That’s what she ultimately decided to do.
4. The mother of the teen believes the father went “way overboard.”
His mother went ballistic at him, stating that it will make her the target of bullying (sort of the purpose, teach her some compassion), as he revealed in the post.
Remember that the father had complete custody of his daughter because his ex-wife “moved on with her new family,” which is why he didn’t seek her permission.
5. THE DAD DOES NOT REGRET WHAT ANYONE ELSE MAY THINK.
“I thought my daughter had a severe lack of empathy for the girl she was bullying, so I came up with the punishment,” the father claims.
“My daughter’s actions truly horrified me because she is aware of this. It revealed a total and total lack of empathy. I thought that by having her walk a mile in the other girl’s shoes and going to school bald, she would learn a valuable lesson.
What do you think now? Do you think the penalty meted out by the father was excessive? Please leave a remark below with your ideas.
