- This world has become a cruel place, especially for people with impairments who struggle to meet societal expectations. These people yearn for acceptance and a place among the stars, but unhappily, nasty stares and comments are often exchanged.
Rustam is a little kid whose parents failed to seek medical attention for birth abnormalities. He was placed for adoption, but as we are well aware, few parents are willing to accept children like him into their homes and hearts.
Fortunately, Rustam’s image and biography were found by a woman by the name of Nika Zlobina who was completing adoption paperwork. Then she set out on a mission to find Rustam a loving home, but she ultimately decided to adopt him.
Nika stated, “I chance to encounter images of Rustam while preparing paperwork for an adoption. There was a database with photos of children.
The first thing this mother did to help this amazing guy was to create an Instagram account to showcase all kids looking for families, including him.
Additionally, she posted a video of Rustam dancing, which was very popular. Rustam received a lot of positive feedback, however some people also wrote insulting comments. The ‘freak’ won’t ever be adopted, according to some. I was frightened by the sheer number of haters who posted comments, many of whom were young mothers with little children, Nika said.Nika’s biggest concern was dispelling the myth that adopting a child with a disability is not the best choice. Rustam’s regular activities, his countless smiles, and the way he seemed content when among the right people, according to Nika, will help people understand the need of taking care of these children.
While there is a huge waiting list for such children, Nika stated that “everyone mostly wants blond beautiful babies to adopt.” Meanwhile, other children go without parents.
At that point, Nika made the decision to adopt Rustam herself. She and her husband were ecstatic to have this gorgeous kid as a son since he radiated joy everywhere he went.
Nika claims that this adoption served as an example for others who were thinking about adopting a child in this manner.
One mom commented that she was reluctant to leave the house with her Down syndrome-afflicted daughter but that she now felt confident enough to take her on walks after reading my postings.
Nika and her husband make every effort to protect their son from harm and disseminate the message that being unique is not a bad thing, despite the inevitable remarks and strange looks from complete strangers. Actually, the diversity of this world is what keeps it moving.
Rustam, who is nine years old, is currently leading the ideal life.
